December 22, 2009 --Jasper, IN – The Dubois County Visitors Center recently launched a new web site design (
www.visitduboiscounty.com) enticing visitors to “Stay, Play & Dine” in southern Indiana’s Dubois County.
The concept for the site’s new look was based on the top three items that visitors to the Dubois County area request when planning their visit. “The new design takes on a more modern, visitor-friendly appeal,” said Kristen Ruhe, executive director. “Our goal was to create a site that was welcoming and easily navigable for all users, and we feel we accomplished just that.”
Enhanced features on the site include social networking links to the Visitors Center’s various outlets including Facebook, Twitter and Flickr as well as the request for visitors guide, weather and map icons displayed directly on the homepage. The site includes a detailed listing of the county’s hotels and B&Bs, attractions, restaurants, shops, events, latest news happenings and a photo gallery. Direct links for travel writers, group travel professionals and sports planners are also easily accessible on the homepage.
Since the launch of the new site in mid-November, the number of visitors (to the site) has increased by 29% compared to 2008.
Staff at the Visitors Center worked with 361 Studios (
www.threesixone.com) out of Columbus, Ohio to create the new look.
